Default Fuel filter

Changed the fuel filter finally. After 84,500 miles of what I thought was quality gas. This is what came out.

Now that I know what tool to use and not what the parts store guy suggests(size wise) it's too easy not to change more often.

I wouldn't push a fuel filter past 30k. I also like to use motorcraft because its supposed to have a water catcher in it as well.

So all the newer trucks with the filter in the fuel tank doesn't make you wonder what's floating around in the tank.

I can't seem to find the right tool to get the fittings off mine. I've tried with a "quick release wrench" or something like that and no luck.

I had that problem. I think the tool you need is some where around 1/4 ". The 3/8 is too big. If you have the smaller one just keep working it in and push in on the lines and then pull. Should pop right apart. Careful if you're laying under it. The rear line will want to empty out on you.
