front end alignment

Lightbulb front end alignment

my tires are wearing on one side, meaning my alighnment is out. My dad has a MANCO alignment gauge and is showed the tirs out 4 degrees. So, today I back the truck down the driveway heard a slight cluck, thought it was intresting, and whola my guage now shows the tires are in alighnment. Anybody have a suggestion on whats happening? Ok I checked the ball joints and it's not them, or brakes.

what exactly was out of alignment? camber, toe out, what? my truck was similarly out of alignment in both camber and toe, camber problem was related to bad ball joints

other than the ball joints, possible wheel bearing, not sure if that changes the alignment.

I would also check the wheel bearings. Jack up one side of the truck under the lower A arm and grab the tire with one hand on the top and the other on the bottom if it rocks back and forth ist time to pack, adjust or replace you wheel bearings. I have the hub pack on my 2006 that can be semi-pack through the ABS sensor hole most likley need to replace, it is a one piece unit. Good luck, Bill

These trucks do have ball joint wear issues..

At least I have heard that, I dont have that meny miles.

the toe was out and it's not a ball joint.

make sure ur top table bolts r tight thats where the adjustments r done
