I have seen ovals that start to get like that, the person had painted it black and found a over lay of the word ford that was a gray ish color. It would have looked good but he did not take the time to put the stickers on straight.

Is 65 bucks for an emblem cheap? Seems a little much to me...but I have nothing to compare it to. Thanks for the info/site.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

That's exactly what my front logo did! Does the Dept of Transportation use MagChloride on your roads in the winter? I lived in Utah when mine cracked, peeled, and bubbled and the only thing, environmental, I could think of was the MagChloride. If not that then I would have to assume it was a factory defect. All in all I would think the dealership's parts department would stock them but I'm not sure what they cost.

I have a 2007 STX and I had to replace mine also am I'm in Oklahoma. I shockingly got mine replaced under warranty. It drove me nuts mine had the water corrosion that caused huge bubbles in it. Haven't had any problems with the replacement after 7,000 miles, but I'm at 24,000 total.

Ah man, that is a little much. I get their 1980 - 1996 (1997 HD) catalog and the emblems for those Gens are only like ~$15...

Sorry about that...
