Default Flowmaster Muffler

I am going to put a flowmaster muffler in the place of the stock muffler and keep the stock set-up. Anyone else out there do that? I was going to order a 2.5" ID muffle that is offset on both sides, I just wanted to make sure I got the right set-up, can anyone confirm the offset/offset?

Thanks, but I figure just replacing the muffler and putting a chrome tip is much cheaper than putting a whole new system in. I have always had flowmasters and have always had good luck with them, so I'll stick with them but thanks for your input. I just want to make sure I order the right muffler.

Nah I am going with either the super 44 or 40, what is the part number for the 50's though, I can match it up to the one I am looking for.

I am running the 40 series muffler on the stock setup right now. It sounds good, but I will be upgrading soon to a system with a little more rumble. Im not a fan of super laud trucks but my setup is to quiet to me. Also when installing you will have to weld on new hangers.

Just had Flowmaster 40's installed and love it! They are CAT back str8 pipes with 4" rolled chrome tips installed on a 2006 5.4 ltr screw. Next is either a tuner/programmer or CAI system.

Well I am either going with the 40's or super 44. Can anyone tell me if i need to buy an offset/offset muffler or does one side need to be center? I need to know the configuration of the muffler when working with stock pipes.

Lefty,
Flowmaster makes a muffler for your truck with the off set required to keep your stock set-up. I had the 50 series delta flow installed in place of my stock one and a stainless steel tip...sounds gr8...I think the 40 series will be a tad louder. Good luck
