Alright guys, got the shifter all working and installed today! I'll just get right down to the pictures!

Here are the two plugs, first top then bottm

Started with the wiring, tapping the two plugs on top and bottom:

Bottom part of the wiring, wrapped them in a black conduit and ran them down below the center dash:

Here is where I drilled the hole:

Got the shifter all mounted up and wiring plugged in:

All installed and working!

Here is where I replaced the PRND21 indicator with the FX4

Took my dad and I roughly 4 hours, going really slow, making sure everything was right.
I will build the custom dash thing either late tonight or tomorrow morning and will post more pictures when I get that done. If there is anything specific you want a picture of feel free to let me know!

Also, if anyone has a real knack for wiring, the bottom harness contains 2 things, the Brake Pedal Interlock and the Key Inhibit Solenoid, both of which I can't seem to get to work. There are also 2 grounds on the same plug, a total of 4 wires. when plugged into the original harness it works fine for the column shifter, and sends the electrical pulse to the shifter when I tap the brake. when I unplug it, and let the wires run down to the floor console, it doesn't. No electrical pulse, no movement of the brake interlock or the key solenoid.
Shifter still works fine, just missing those safety features. The top plug works fine, O/D off button works fine as well.

Thanks!

Figured out the wiring issue finally, in addition to the little lock button that was a little stuck. On to the custom dash piece in the morning!

Finished up the project today, built the little custom piece for mating to the dash today, here are more pictures.
First thing was to cut the little outside dash piece off so the connection piece would mate perfectly with the console.

Here is before:

After:

Cardboard templates traced onto the board (Thanks Tailrace

Cut out and covered in vinyl:

Mounting brackets:

All mounted on one side:

Top piece:

Vinyl Covered:

All finished!

If anyone is planning on doing it, feel free to ask away!
Thanks for all your help everyone! Couldn't have done it without this forum!

Awesome job my friend! The end cap looks great, you're definitely talented with this stuff, that's for sure. And great write up with step by step pics......this will help those who want to do the swap. It seems like a complicated mod to do, but in reality it's pretty cut n dry. Having write ups like the one from FX4&Harley is huge, and you've added to that with yours.
Kudos to you, and enjoy your floor shifter and cavernous console! Now all you need are these bins to help keep your console organized

And the leftover bins even help organize your door pockets!
