Default Fender flares

I got my 06 fx4 in April and just started getting enough money to start making it my own. I decided to start with the hideous fender flares that have faded to grey. I was just going to take them off but my cousin told me there were holes underneath and besides I know it's bad for chipping. So could I get some ideas on what to do. I don't want the big bushwhackers and if I can I want them to be white.

They are simple to take off. Look in the how too section. I just painted mine the other day because they were faded. They look brand new now.

Mine aren't the ptm kind though they are the rough textured black ones (I forget what they're called) and I don't want them. I really like the naked look but I dont like that it could cause it to rust. Does anyone have any very small flares.

I am not 100% sure but i dont belive the are any hiles behind those. I think its 3M tape and one of those plastic trim bolts in each end. Pull them off amd just put the plastic retainer back in. When you find what you are looking for I would gladly take these off your hands for the right price. Provided that you don't beat them up when you take them off.

OK so I was wrong according to this https://www.f150forum.com/f71/how-re...-flares-66806/ there are holes behind those. Oh well still interested if you take them off and replace them.
