Default Factory set code for keyless entry

First off hello all,

I have a 2005 SupCrw FX4, I recently put a new battery in it and have not, until today, attempted to use my keyless entry. I went to use the set code that I had programmed and it did not work, I then fished out the factory set code and it wont work either, it starts with an 8 and that is all I will divulge, but with that said every time I go to punch in the factory code the first number (the 8) is locking the truck and does nothing further, very weird.

Any idea would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

7-8 and 9-0 at the same time lock the truck but no other button should lock it, maybe your keypad is busted, do the lights come on when you hit all the buttons?

No none of the numbered lights come on, I don't know how it could go bad/busted. 8 definitely locks the truck, Is there a fuse for it possibly?

Thanks,

7-8 & 9-0 together definitely locks the truck.. Let me grab my manuel..

7-8 by itself shouldn't lock the truck, maybe your buttons are stuck..?

Thanks,
A blown fuse would prevent the entire keypad from functioning.
I'm thinking that pressing just the '8' is also contacting the '9-0' inside the door. I imagine you're going to have to take it apart and look at it to make sure the pad elements line up properly.

Okay so I get home from work last night and it's working correctly. I guess it could be the very frigid temps we've been having lately 0 to 10 degrees fahrenheit in the a.m.'s, I don't know but thanks to all for all the replies and help. Will let you know if anything changes.

It happened again, not sure what the issue is but will keep posting until I figure it out, I'm going to attempt a clean of the buttons this weekend. A lot of salt and grime on the road due to weather maybe that's it...
