from years 2003 to 2007 are the frames /chasis the same on a super cab 4x4, want to know so I kind shop for nerf bars

 

No. Starting in 04 all new frame...all new truck.

 

your thinking of 97-2003 are the same. 2004-08 is the same 09-10 have minor changes from 04-08.

 

step bars on fords mount to the inner rocker panel, not the frame like a GM.

 

one person said that nerf bars mount to the rocker not the frame,is this a fact

 

do you got new model or the 97-03 model?

 

if its 97-03 The brackets with the two studs sticking out get slid into the frame along the underside of the truck. Then you bolt the brackets to the studs, then the bars to the brackets... Leave the nuts on the studs loose so you can move it around, etc...

my buddies 01 screw KR had hte boards mounted to the inner rocker to, also the amp research we mounted in its place also mounted there. the factory bars for my ranger also moutned to the inner rocker.
