FPDM, plugs, coils, injectors, possibly pump...how many miles? Bad gas?

A visual inspection of your FPDM will usually tell you - make sure you actually take it off the frame and inspect the back - usually where the corrosion starts and eats through. If it is solid and intact, then look for a misfire. A misfire generally doesn't present as a 'buck' per se, more of a 'rough' ride or a touch of hesitation. A buck is generally indicative of a fuel supply issue, and on these trucks, the FPDM is the first place to look.

Mine does it also. Only mine only does it when in overdrive. Its getting worse and worse every week. I changed the plugs about 15k miles ago. Changed the fuel filter also. If I'm on the freeway at about 1600 -2200 RPM I jerks like crazy. I have to gas it so it downshifts so it stops. I usually just turn off OD so it doesn't do it. What could it be?

You failed to mention if you've checked your FPDM. Keep in mind that this module adjusts how much fuel is being sent to your engine based on gear, rpm, load, throttle position, etc. quite possible if it is corroded that it may only short out when it's being asked to run a certain delivery program, such as when you're in OD between a certain rom range.

If it is not a fuel supply issue, then I'd be looking at your torque converter. Almost every tranny shop does free road testing with a transmission scan tool. This will tell you if a gear is slipping, or if your TC is not locking properly, etc.

I will take the fpdm off the truck again to check it. Last time I checked it looked OK. I just never took it off the frame completely. Thanks for the info. I'll keep you posted
