hey guy's i just bought a 07 5.4 xlt f150 i wont to put exhaust on it and the dealer to me that because it is the 3v engine that i would have to put a certain type on it, i couldn't just have a flowmaster welded on is this true or are they just trying to sell me somthing, he did say somthing about the catback magnaflow.

did the dealer say what would happen with the "wrong kind of exhaust?" most guys/gals here run all different kinds of exhaust. i run a dual 3" from the muffler back and it's a no name made by Jegs. magnaflow is a good brand tho. i'm sure you'll get a few more responses from this great group.

go back to the dealer and ask him if its because of the muffler bering......

They are feeding you a line of bs

ive seen true duals with no mufflers on an 07 f150 and he had no problems with it

thanks guys i thought the same thing when he tried to send me to there aftermarket guy the only thing that might bother me is will a weld on system effect my warranty? there aftermarket guy told me he has seen them not hold the warranty on trucks that had weld in flowmaster i think he was trying to scar me into coming to them for the exhaust

I myself have true duals on my 05 f150 and no probs besides the cops.

i have asked 5 different dealerships in miami about warranty issues with exhaust, they all told me that the only thing that will be voided is an exhaust warranty (for example, i have a flowmaster on my car, and my cats are rattling against something, i took it to ford, and since i have a flowmaster on the truck, no work will be warranted ....)
