Default Engine swap

I am new to this forum, so I apologize if this thread is in the wrong category. Now to my question, I recently wrecked my 2006 mustang gt. It was mildly built and made 438rwhp on the dyno. My dad has an 05 F150 so I got to thinking about maybe doing a swap since the engine in my mustang is totally fine. Has anyone ever attempted this swap and I don't know what I would have to do in order to make it work. My car was a standard, the truck is an automatic and it's 4x4. I am curious as to whether or not the tranny is going to bolt up even with an adapter. Any advice or opinions are appreciated. Thanks for reading.

The trans will bolt up.... Is your dads truck a 4.6 or 5.4? I know you will have to get a flexplate for your 8 bolt crank ($170) if your dads truck is a 5.4 (best option for the swap) you might need a 4.6 truck oil pan and motor mounts.

It is a 4.6.

Is it a 2V 4.6 or a 3V 4.6?

Even if I have all of the wiring from my car, it still won't work? I've never swapped anything so I'm pretty clueless. I apologize.

The wiring harness might work but I don't know if all the sensors are in the same place or if the wires will be the right length.

You might want to put some gear in the axle of the truck too... The truck engines only rev to 5,000 rpm with low rpm tq in mind, where the 4.6 in your car rev's to 6,500 rpm with tq in the middle of the rpm band... So a deeper rear gear will help with power down low.
