engine noise
Mine doesn't sound like that video either, but if certainly has a tick to it (Guess a VW dwisel is a good comparison). Mine seems more under the truck than on either side.
No warranty, so I guess I'll drive it until the bottom falls out...

Check your spark plugs!!!!
My 2006 F150 5.4 Lariat Super Crew 60100 miles, began showing of a tapping noise similar of that of a tapping the side of a tin can. Very prevalent when entering a garage or drive through after start up. Over thirty days it became louder. Took it to the Ford dealer and the service representative stated it was nothing to worry about.
That did not sit right so I made an appointment the next week after I changed the oil, filter and listened to the engine with a mechanics stethoscope. I found the tapping was prevalent from the left side rear engine above the manifold.
I returned to the dealership and spoke with another service writer who listened as well. After an hour or so he comes out and informed me that they found one spark plug had worked its way lose. The compression leak from the cylinder caused the plug to tap.
They said they saw this on a few 5.4’s but was not common. The service was free since the plugs had been changed @ 54, 000 miles.
