Default Engine/idle issues

Ford 2008 xlt Ford F-150
Was driving and when slowed down idle went from 400-1400 up and down not stabilizing and fluctuating. When traveling at speed in excess of 60/70kph it runs and maintains a steady idle.
Under hood had signs of oil around fill cap (may have been me when filled before-did a couple weeks ago and haven't driven much) open air filter and had oil come out.
This past July had two cylinders redone and the intake gaskets and assembly done. What could this be? How can I check?

Sounds Like an idle air control issue.

Why do you say that ?
Here is a link to an IAC for a 2008 f-150 w/ 4.6
http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/f...ac)+valve,6072

This is a link to 3 of them for a 4.2 V6

The 5.4 uses an electric throttle body and did away with the IAC.

So if you know Robyn and know she has a 5.4 then you are correct !

If you don't ..... well you can see where I'm goin with this !

Now if she will tell us what motor she has in her F-150 we may be able to help her out.

I was with you PR.. I'm like there is no IAC assuming it was a 5.4 which majority are.
