the mpg is never right on the Edge. Sometimes my truck gets more mpg, sometimes less than it says.

I'll keep everyone posted on mpg gains (if any) I've been keeping track of my mileage by hand with the odometer and fill ups, but we'll see how it coorelates to the read out on the edge...

More updates to come as I get some!
Where would I go about getting a custom tune?

you have to send your edge to PHP and get it modified to be able to load a custom tune.

(Omitted)

So far that's what I've noticed. I'd say it was totally worth it. I'll keep everyone posted as I drive it a little more. No real complaints so far but if you've got any questions I'd be happy to answer (or at least try lol) Needless to say, I'm pretty happy with it!
Thanks for posting this as this was exactly I was looking for... I am currently in the process of obtaining one and hoping to have some results for comparison, so again thank-you. Going to be upgrading to 33's myself soon but wanted to start with the Edge Tuner.

For custom tunes on an Edge Evo, Techrep is right, you'd have to send it to PHP to be converted to a Gryphon and then they'll load custom tunes for about $30 a tune..

I've yet to fill it up since loading the Edge, but once I compare my hand calcs to what the Edge is spitting out I'll let you know how accurate the gas mileage really is, but the power difference on setting 2, with 33" tires is night and day compared to stock!

You know that the "Edge" isn't calculating mpg, right? It's simply showing what the Ford computer is recording... They guys with the Lariats/King Ranches and the info center have reported the same thing about the mpg being off, it was a "glitch" with the Ford code.

Ya, my factory MPG display on the instrument panel of my '06 Lariat is consistently off by 1-1.5 mpg per tank, sometimes high, sometimes low. Not necessarily just the computer, also varies by station/pump you fill up at. The auto shutoff is a little different for every pump. Also temp, pressure altitude, etc at time of each fill up will influence readings because fuel expands and contracts based on all these factors. According to the owner's manual, the vehicle's computer takes these factors into account, but pencil whipping the miles driven vs gallons pumped at next fill-up doesn't. Basically, the only way to really get an accurate read is to keep a running total that, as time passes, gets more and more accurate by minimizing the extremity of the variables (IE stats normal approx of data). Even then, its just an average fuel economy, since almost no one drives only highway or only city miles.
