If its a custom tune from someone writing it for you then yes the tuner keeps it. If you mean a canned tune that you changed up a little then there should be an option when you get to the custom tune setting that says something like load previous settings and it should. But idk if it does it when switching from a different level, I'd assume it does.

Have you done the Gotts mod. That will lower idle to about 600-650. Right above a stall.

Mine stalled 2 times and idled ruff after driving the interstate and stooping at exit 5 or 6 since I did the mod earlier this year. Just give it a little gas and back to normal.

I use the lvl 2 setting usually, just programmed lvl3 with the bigger tires, but with stock tired I was on lvl3 mostly, that's where the ruff idles where. I bumped my idle speed up about 50 to counteract that then.

On my 2005 F150 5.4L I'm running a level 2 tune with
20 for all shift firmness
-2,-3,-4 for 1-2, 2-3, and 3-4 shift points
5k for 1-2 and 2-3 and 4550 for 3-4 wot shifting
1.45 wot fuel
+.75 degrees timing

It gives me a good amount of power compared with the stock level 2 tune. I run on 87 octane and haven't had any problems with detonation. I'm assuming my edge evo II is older since I can't update it and there is no spot to adjust the torque converter lockup?

Ok guys, I'm new to this site. I read all 27 pages of this thread. I just got an edge and have a few quick questions. First...When I have the engine load gauge on the screen and floor it, it only gets to like 80% and never goes higher. Does anyone else have this? Second...If I change the settings and bump the timing and stuff up to what you guys recommend on here is it fine to tow with them up? Is there a point that you should not tow at anymore and go back down? Can you leave it on extreme all the time and not harm anything as long as I have premium gas. Thanks for the help. Mike

Not sure about the load gauge as I haven't played around with it all that much.

Timing should never be an issue wether your towing or flying down the track as long as you have a fuel capable of the timing and is resistant to pre-detonation. 93 octane for example.

Yes you can leave it on extreme all the time as long as you have premium in it!

Hope that helps!
