Rock on! I am going to try your settings tomorrow. Will I notice alot more from the extreme that comes already on the edge?

I mean...I have it on extreme right now but I am going to put your numbers in tomorrow. Will I notice much difference just with your numbers over the extreme that comes pre loaded?

Should notice some better gains. May not be huge but better.

My question is how about using tow/haul mode when decel. or any other time with the edge? Keeps it out of overdrive I understand but so far towing the last day it seems happier while driving down the road in OD outside of hills. Personally except the lack of OD I havn't noticed (stock mode) that fords tow/haul changes anything else like GM's tow haul really changes shift patterns.

Ford doesn't really have a tow/haul mode like GM. It only locks you out of 4th gear thats all the OD button does, no change in shift strategy like the GM's.

Driving in OD when hauling is no problem as long as the torque converter can stay locked while doing it. So if you are on long flat stretches of highway and the rpms won't bounce around in 4th gear, then DO it!! You will get much better gas mileage! However if you are in a hilly area or the load is just to great to keep the Torque Converter locked in 4th gear then lock it out of 4th gear and stay in 3rd, will keep you from building up heat and frying your tranny.

Ya hadn't done any 'googling' about it but from the drivers seat I couldn't tell a difference outside of loosing a gear. I am happy with the firmer shifting now, but even on 2 it seems to hickup a little untill I drive it a few miles after startup then it runs great. Kinda not liking that. And ya, how you descibed is how I treat it when towing. Stays in OD as long as its not hunting and usually bump it off before the hills just so it doesn't downshift so aggresively part way up the hill. Works I guess, but for the same year truck as the little ladies Avalanche GM did a far better job from the factory with an actual tow/haul mode vs fords lockout. On hers it even seems to firm the shifts up some and holds the gear a bit longer even under lighter throttle. Do the newer Fords have anything like the GM's have had for a few years now?

Well, after years of reading the Edge and SCT hype, I bit the bullet and bought an Edge Evo from the great classified section here. I must admit, why the heck did I wait so long?! Hahaha. This tuner stuff is well worth the money! I have not changed any of the settings to match my current mods, I've just been running the canned level 2/towing program and it has made quite a difference in performance. Throttle response is greatly improved and much more torque off the line.

I'm going to run this towing canned tune for a few tanks and get used to the feel before I change the settings to match my mods. The reason I'm doing this is so I can determine what adjustments do what. I am happy with how it drives as it is.

Sounds like your on the right track! Once you feel you are ready to start changing parameters. Just slowly keep playing with the adjustments until you get a stack of adjustments that you find have the best gain.

Wanted to share my mileage findings. I have gone through 3 tanks of gas running the canned tow tune and mileage is up along with better low end power. Prior to the Edge I was averaging 11-12 mixed driving. The last 3 tanks my average was 13.5 this is according to my iPhone Gas Cubby app.

Only issues to report, on 2 occasions in the first week I got a P2106 code. Did ome research and cleaned my throttle body, haven't thrown that code since and my idle is smoother to. Next up, going to order 87 performance tune from PHP.
