Edge EVO - which level?
Hello all,
I've installed an Ege EVO into my 2007 FX4 and it's been great. One question for my F150 friends.......Edge says that level 1 is purely a transmission shifting program offering no additional performance. Level 2 - towing supposedly offers increased performance and maintains a certain degree of shift firmness.
Level 1 in my opinion seems to be quicker in terms of 0to60.......
What level do you run for everyday driving and why????
Thanks All

I run Level 2 right now, simply because its not cost-effiecent to run Level 3. When you say level 1 is quicker in your opinion...have you actually timed it? or is that simply what you think?

I run mine on level 1 for every day driving and level 2 when I'm towing. I only run it on level 3 when I feel like hauling ***. In my opinion you have faster 0-60 on level 1 but after that you don't have as much power as u do on level 3

i run level 2 on my 06 4.6,its on the 6in fabtech and 35s stock gears, k&n drop in,larger intake tube. i get 18.5 mpg on the highway going 65-70,also 8oz of lucas fuel addative every tank full with 89 octane. on level 3 with the lucas i only get 16-16.5 mpg and thats with 91 octane.

I did run 2 x 0-60 runs back to back (I have run several on level 2). I average 8.6-8.7 on level 1, I ran a 9.15 on level 2????
It just has a much tamer feeling in level 2. The dyno charts provided by Edge inidcate something entirely different.....
Thanks in advance for any additional comments

I run mine on level 3 all the time i have to run 93. I have seen as high as 16.3 to 12.8 on that level. I do think that level 1 if you drive without putting your foot in it you get the most constant mpg. 15 for me But on level 2 when you are towing it makes the most difference. It was like night and day for me when pulling my boat. I do run 93 fuel all the time

I keep mine on 2. Level 1 doesnt seem to do anything, and 3 is just ridiculous(but fun). 2 Usually nets me around 14mpg but thats not calculating the 33" tires, so its probably getting around 16mpg or so.

Like PopTop04 I run mine on Level 3 daily and switch to Level 2 on the rare occasion I'm pulling a trailer. I admit to a heavy foot and while it is more expensive to run 93 octane, the truck feels like driving a slug at Level 1 after having gotten used to Level 3. I'm addicted to the added power and punch of Level 3 --- but I plan to upgrade to a Gryphon and get a 87 performance custom tune to get back in line with the economy of gas prices.
