Default Edge CS evolution

I bought a programmer from one of my friends last night. I brought it home and reprogrammed my truck, and set it on level one (I've had it programmed on a edge evolution level one before to see if I liked the programmer before I bought one). Truck ran like a champ last night, I drove it about 10-15 miles last night after programming. I went to crank it this morning, when I unlocked it one headlight came on but the park lights came on, I figured my HIDs were just acting up . I got in the truck and realized I left my amp on last night, no big deal i forget it all the time. I tried to crank my truck and at first it tried to come on but died out pretty fast. I tried again and heard two clicking noises when I hit the ignition. My programmer and radio were both coming on. Has any one else had this problem or do you guys think it could just be a dead battery??

Is it at least trying to turn over? If so then yup, I would reccomend changing the battery.

the first time i tried to crank it, it was trying to crank but died out fast. I tried two more times and just got clicks. I'm hoping after my grandpa charges the battery for me (I'm stuck at school, I'd rather be figuring out why it isn't running ) that it cranks and every thing is fine. It's not had a new battery in about 2 1/2 years, it was fine last night. I wonder if the amp would have drained it from about 9 last night to about 645 this morning? It's a 500 watt amp. I played with the mileage coach last night after I parked it but I don't think playing with the mileage coach on the programmer would messed it up.

If its been 2.5yrs then it's about time you changed it anyway...lol. I waited that long before Thunder's battery finally kicked the bucket, so it sounds about right.

Thanks, were going to try charging it/jumping it off first while I'm stuck here, after school I will probably go buy a new battery and hope that's the problem. I'll update you after school to see if we have reached a solution.

Charge it first...I just added nearly 2 pints of distilled water to my Dead OEM maintenance free battery and charged it on a 10 amp charge for 6 hours...all better now...

You should unplug your programmer before you jump it. I've read that it can mess them up.

Turns out i had a very dead battery, i guess it's from leaving my amp on so long. But now my programmer won't turn on, I've tried cranking the truck and cutting it off and no luck. Any suggestions?

Just un-plug it from the OBII port...
