yes the brake wire on the pioneer I beleave to be green just run it to ground it will work fine. I have a jvc it to works the same way. my old stereo was the pioneer, loved it untill it burned up at the body shop with the hole truck.

So I am now installing my Kenwood DVD NAV unit and I am curious about the mute wires too. Also my truck has a second plug going into the stereo. I left it alone and the Kenwood seems to work fine but does anyone know what it's for?
