Default Drop in filter vs cai

Is a true cai that much better than a drop in? Thinking of doing that so I can put the money towards exhaust?

on the 3v 5.4 without a custom tune with the CAI it will make the truck run lean. most everyone goes the gotts mod and runs a k/n or amsoil filter.

i was gonna buy a volant air intake, but i decided to just do the gotts mod and run a amsoil filter.

X4...though I haven't done it yet, I see that the stock airbox pulls from "cold" air from the fender, so a good drop in filter and larger diameter piping is all you need.

CAI and superchips tuner. WOW!! It is pricey but worth it in my opinion. The fact that the tuner can be used for towing, performance, or gas saver is awesome.

X2, glad to see superchips getting some play. Seems everyone is an edge guy.
