Default Downside of Cheap Headlights

Bought some cheap eBay headlights about a year ago. Sealed them up with RTV to prevent them from getting moisture inside. Now this problem: horizontal streaks on the inside of the lens. Looks like somebody took a dirty wipe to the inside of it. Just an FYI. I'm going new OEM next time. I kept my old OEMs and I'm going to put them back in. I changed them out because they had developed some sparkling on the inside, but this streaking is far worse. I also think it's affecting the light transmission but I'll know more when I do a comparison at swap time.

Usually the difference between a CAPA certified and a Non-CAPA certified light assy... Basically, your getting what you pay for here.

Not sure how I didn't notice this when I did the swap last year, but my old dulled OEM headlights throw light much better than the cheapos I just pulled out. I do recall them being difficult to aim, but I guess I just assumed they would be better than the hazed OEMs.
