im wanting to add a supercharger to my 2005 5.4 lariat but people mention to me about the possibility of having to upgrade my transmission. To what kind of transmission or what do I change ? Is there a super duty?

From what I’ve seen, most just have theirs built to hold the added power. Shift kit, upgraded internals, etc. Find a reputable trans builder in your area and talk to him.

I believe there will be some ECM issues to overcome as well as fitting it in there. Someone with some more knowledge on it may know definitively.

Yes, I read on something like that being done with a f250 5.4 gas same engine size I'm assuming the internals are obviously different . I just need to actually read closely into it or see if someone can shine some light on it. Cause either way I hear that with a supercharger something needs to happen with the tranny wheather it's upgrade to a stronger one or upgrade the one I already have

Is your truck a 5.4 4 wheel drive? Or 2wd?
