Default Door ding

Some fricken idiot parked next to me in a parking lot, even though I always intentionally park far away from the stores, and I come out and have a nice door ding now. There's no crease in the dent, and it's fairly small (about a quarter's size) but the dent is on the crease that runs right above the bottom trim (does that make sense? It's a Lariat so it's two-tone with the bottom trim) Question is: does anyone know if a dent like that can get fixed and if so is it easy/cheap? I've heard of a tool that is supposed to be able to use suction to pull out small dents, just not sure if that works though. Thanks!

a good body man with paintless dent repair experience should be able to fix that without painting if its not to deep in the body line. call around to local body shops and ask about paintless dent repair, also look in the phone book for the same thing. theres a company local to me that will come to your house and fix them in your driveway. doesnt cost much either.

I would go w/ a paintless dent repair guy as well. As long as the paint hasn't cracked and just flexed w/ the metal, it should pop right out, even w/ it being on a crease. Sorry to hear you got your nice lariat tagged.

I have two of them in the exact same spot. Riight along the divide between the tan and top paint . SO MAD because i cant look past them. Once i get mine fixed im gettting n fab step bars just to protect the body from future idiots dinging my truck. (The step bars will take the hit from a door before the truck does.)

You park at the farthest corner of the parking lot... a hundred empty spots around you. Go inside the store.

You come back out and see that two other idiots parked on either side of you. Happens all the time.

Now i Just take two spots. problem solved.

That kind of stuff drives me crazy. I had my passenger side mirror hit at the Mall of America parking lot within a few hours of purchasing my truck. Now I need a new mirror cover.

To the OP, hope you can get the dent out.

We had this happen once when my wife saw the person park next to my truck as we were walking away so she went back over and asked the lady, why, with all the closer empty spaces, did she part right next to us? The lady responded that she's not able to park between the lines without another vehicle next to her for reference.

Makes you feel safer on the road huh?
