I just bought another 2005 Ford F150 from an older couple at a steal. The old guy though has forgot the code to the door. Is there anyway I can find this out without having to pay the dealer a crap ton of money to tell me what it is? I hate going to the dealer thats why Im asking as soon as they see you pull in I swear all they think is rape!

 

Check around under the driver side dash, sometimes they stamp it on there... Reminds me, I need to look for mine...

 

I believe I read on here that it's on the back of the rear seat on the driver's side or somethin' like that.

 

take the back seat off and the 5 digit code is on the security module thing thats how i got mine

It's a PITA, but, once you get it, it is easy.

 

Yup, even though my '06 doesn't have this function, I do have a card with a code in my owners manual in case I ever install one.

I remember there being a post here in the past that an outside company other than Ford could determine your code. Not sure what the cost was though.

 

Do not forget that they will also charge you 80 bucks for five min of work. I pulled my back seat off and got mine off of the security module . the clips are a pain in the *** to get at but its real easy once you figure it out.
