Default Does the two package make em slower??

So I have a 2006 Supercrew with the 4.6L and the tow package. Why does my truck feel like it has almost no torque when you have the pedal in the floor board? Its not that I go out and race everyone or anything, just that when I need to get up to highway speed real quick and in a hurry like, it doesnt seem to start pulling until it hits about 3,000 RPM. From there on down, it feels a little slugish. Any advice or answers would be greatly appreciated.

By the way, its supposed to say "TOW" package, not two pacakge.

well part of it is that you have a 4.6 in the crew. "there is no replacement for displacement" as i saw someone recently put in a post. the 5.4 is just more suited for the 6000lb truck. also, it depends on what gears you have. i know my dad had the 3.73s w/4.6 in his old truck and my truck is the same everything but had the 5.4 and off the line it was WAY more "torquey"....sometimes we all forget we are driving a 3 ton truck. but if you have the 3.55s with the 4.6

O wasn't positive . They don't have the 4.6 in the new line up which is prolly a good idea. I like mine but I'd rather have 3.5eb 5.0 5.4, 6.2,

Sorry about the reeeeaaaaaallllllyyyyy late reply, but I think you are right about the gears. It seems to have some high end torque. I recently put a K&N cold air intake on it, and it seems to help just a little. I was thinking of getting a tuner/programmer for it. Any suggestions, and do you think that will do me any good, or would it be a waste of time and money?
