dealership!
ok so i took my truck to the dealer a couple days ago to have some warrenty work done, one of the problems was squeeky leaf springs and the dealer called me today and was saying the when i put the leveling kit on it changed the angle of the truck and is now causing them to squeek, but ive have the kit on for about a month now and it just started squeeking afer i went muddin and washed it off! does anyone know if the dealer is correct?
lol,ya i know right,at first they said it came from my ball joints in the front and i was so thats why when i squat down by my back tire and push my bed up and down i can hear the squeek right there? im not even gona worry about it thou. i have some white lithium grease ill just spray inbetween them, the fix the other problems i had so it whatever
The kicker of that story is if the dealer installed the leveling kit then it would have been something else and warrantied the issue and fixed it. I don't understand dealers and there not wanting to warranty things. As long as there is a legitimate problem they should make the repairs. They are getting paid to do the work. I just had my local dealer replace the HD stripes and grille on my truck along with the heat shield over the front drive shaft and fixed the noisy drivers window. No issues whatsoever with them.It was not the dealer I purchased it from either and they did not give me crap about having a CAI or dualexhaust.Gator Ford is Great......Some dealers I guess can't make the paperwork work to their advantage.....
I've had the same problem for a long time now and the dealer says it's a known problem but they don't have a fix. The situation really makes me mad but what can you do?? Did the white grease solve the problem because the constant squeaking is driving me nuts?
idk i still havn't gone to get my truck lol,ill be going in about 30mins or so and im going to my friends shop to help him take his motor out of his car cause he broke a piston(dodge srt-4)lol,and after i help him with that im going to try and fix that prob so ill let ya know how it goes...
I to agree that the dealer is mostly a wast of time.
I took my truck in for 1500 mile service.
when I got my truck back I parked it at home and left it for a few days.
I got around to washing it and checking the fluids. I found the oil was up to the place on the dipstick where it starts to spiral and the power steering fluid was just under the low mark.
I called the dealer and they told me to bring it in. they took the truck right in and I waited around for them to fix the issues. they came back and said the oil is fine and not worth draining and the powerstering fluid went back to here it should be when they removed the cap. Pressure had the fluid pushed down and when they released the pressure it was OK.
I went to get in the truck not believing them and I see a dent the size of a quarter on the driver's side door just above the door handle. it sames they opened the door into something in the bay, so we complained and the dealer fixed it that day. I had to go back just before closing time to get the key and move the truck so I could get it when the wife got off work at 11 PM. I went over the truck and checked all the fluids. The power steering fluid was now up to max line and you could see spillage around the cap. I know this because I just cleaned it off a day before. and the oil still very high. I went back and talked to a different service manager, he came out and looked at the oil with me and agreed it was about a quart over full. he promptly went and got a guy to drain the oil down to where it should be.
Every time I took my truck in the dealer did something wrong to it.

i hear BS like this all the time, best one i heard yet is the dealership wouldn't warranty the tranny because it had 265/70/17's on it vs the stock 255/70/17's, give me a break! just another way the dealer tries to screw you, i'm not sure if everyone knows this but dealers make less on warranty work vs. normal work people bring it to have repaired, probably the main reason they try to shaft people.
