Default Day/night sensor

Hey guys-
Does anyone know where the sensor is located that tells the headlights to come on? My headlights do not come on when they should, when the switch is in the auto position.

at the front left of the dash. it is the little black bubble that has the flashing red light in it when you lock the doors.

Take the newspaper off the driver side dash and your lights will come on...

hahah yep... you confused yourself with that one.

My auto lights dont work either. Is this a common issue? is the fix as easy as replacing the sensor? or is there something else I should be looking at
