Default Custom tunes

Hey guys I was wondering what you all thought about getting customs tunes done when you only have exhaust, and a cai on the truck is it worth it or should I just wait till I get more engine for the truck??

Tuning now will help especially if you get a performance tune. Its not going to be OMG POWA improvement but will improve overall drivability as well.

That's all I have done on mine and got a custom tune from PHP. I like it better than the canned tune because it smoothed out the ride and idle for me.
They take into consideration where you live, your driving style, as well as other things when creating your tune.

How much was your PHP tune? And what tuner/programmer do you have?

I have the Edge Evo. Each custom tune from PHP is $60 if you bought the tuner from a 3rd party and (I think) $30 if you buy it from them.

In my opinion, it isn't worth spending money on an 87 "Performance" Tune. I got the 93 Performance so that my truck can work with the higher octane and yield the best results possible.

You will find many opinions on the 87 tune. For those who don't want to spend the extra dollar or two per fill up on premium gas, that may be okay for them.

You're somewhat correct. They aren't doing custom tunes for any Edge Evo CS or CTS tuners. They will still work with the regular Evo, so you should be good to go!
