Default Custom Driveshaft?

Just figured Id ask and see if anyone has done any driveshaft work and if you know somewhere I could get one for my truck. I broke the carrier bearing that holds the middle of my 2 piece driveshaft to the body this weekend. Luckly someone was there to weld it up for me temporarily. I figure instead of buying a stock replacement id upgrade to a 1 piece or something thats more durable so this doesnt happen again. Thanks

I don't have a custom drive shaft, but my truck does have a spacer added to the drive shaft. I saw a sticker at my favorite 4WD shop, and there was a place in Colorado that worked in the area. I forgot the name of the place, but I figured I would post in this thread since no one else has.

Ryno 4WD, here in Oklahoma. They're my off-road shop (by that I mean, they work on my truck, and I trust them). I'm sure you can find one easily, it's not like the spacer is custom made, they are probably mass produced. It might have been Pro-comp, but I don't know if they make spacers.

I got one with my BDS kit ($69 option). Didnt do much. Mine is still pulled out a decent amount. My problem is the 5" blocks arent angled to correct the pinion angle. Im going to need to get a couple shims sooner rather than later.

Anyways, yeah you can get one from Zone Offroad (company) too.

I heard that the driveshafts arent cheap. Then again, it's something that is a necessity so it doesnt matter.

I appreciate the responses. Ill look into Zone and see what they have. I was just wondering if someone had done a swap or something like that. I know Ford makes a 1 and 2 piece driveshaft depending on wheelbase and drivetrain (4x4 or 4x2). Maybe I can grab a 1 piece off of a wrecked 2wd with the same wheelbase or I wouldnt mind spending an extra couple of bucks for a custom one that would work with my lift.

If you want a custom drive shaft your best bet is to walk into a semi dealer service department and ask them who in the area does custom drive shaft work.

Inland truck is the answer around the central states- but no idea about florida
