Default Clicking in dash

I noticed my truck making a series of clicking noises the day under the drivers side dash. Almost sounds like a computer processing. It only does it every once in a while. What could this be?

lol I just responded the other day to another person saying the same thing.

Main question: Do you have a remote start and/or alarm (that you're aware of)?

Usually it's a remote start with some sort of even basic alarm built-in (even though it's sold as a remote start) and the basic alarm get's triggered somehow (ignition turned on, opened door with key instead of remote start remote, etc). Since there's no horn or siren hooked up, you can't hear anything but the clicking. If the park lights are wired in though, usually they'll flash. It all depends on the install. When you hear the clicking, look under the dash and if you have a module that the clicking is coming from, it's probably a remote start and/or alarm.

no, it will do it when I crank the truck up and will quit when I turn it off. Doesn't do it everytime, maybe 1 out of every 10 times it will do it

This is your heater blend door. Try messing with the temps and if it changes then thats your problem. I believe there are three blend doors under the dash.

lmao not to be more of a smartass but you sure you're not hitting the signal light after starting then turning left out of your driveway after 10 seconds in? hahahaha j/j

Hopefully it's just the blend door as others suggested
