Default Power Door Lock/Window Problem

2007 F150 Crew Cab - 5.4L.

The driver side power door lock will not work, from the door panel nor the remote. Also, the rear passenger window will not work from the driver panel.

I replaced the actuator on the driver door, but that did not help. At one point, if the door was open a bit, then the lock would work (using the panel and remote), but totally closed or more open it did not work. I took the door off to inspect the wiring harness that plugs into the A- pillar, I figured maybe it has a short in it. I could not find anything. I put the door back on, and now the door lock will not work at all from the slightly open position it once did before. To me, it seems it must be that wiring harness. The rear passenger window still does not work as well.

Has anyone else had similar problems or replaced the wiring harness to fix similar problems?

When you say took the door off, did you look at the wires in the rubber boot in the door jam. Wires could be completely broken and or broken with outer jacket still in tact.

From what I could tell, the wires in the rubber boot in the door jam still looked all in tact. I've since gone to the local Ford dealership and talked to the parts guy. He figures it's just the switches, which seems a little more reasonable being that the other 3 doors functions still work. I have a complete door panel switch with the door lock and windows functions on order. I will start the process of elimination from there.
