Default Cheapest LCD Display? What else to try?

Odometer display back light works but nothing shows on screen.
I took my cluster apart and cleaned my odometer LCD display connections, added some dielectric grease to them and still nothing.
wiggled the screen connected to the board to see if I could get anything and still nothing..
What is the voltage reading supposed to be on the circut board where the 6 pins connect?
Anything else I need to check out before I throw it in the trash and try to find another?

Default Dielectric grease is an insulator not a conductive gel

Clean it real good with contact cleaner . scape ,burnish ,polish etc, Steel wool, anything to get corrosion off .

Are you talking about dielectric? Yeah, it seals out moisture and the like. That's why you don't drown COP boots and such in the stuff. You'll start missing

Well... learn something new everyday! Lol
To clean inside the small 6 pin socket? The 6 pins will be easy to clean. But the 6 pin socket... WD40- to a small q tip- and finish with compressed air? Maybe?

I personally, would use a cleaner for electronics. CRC, or whatever you can get. Just to be safe. Q-tip would probably be fine, just make sure you blow it out with air like you stated. Don't want fuzzies getting jammed up in there. WD-40 is great for a lot of things, but it leaves a residue....something I'm not sure you want sitting on electrical connections.

Okay. I will pick up some CRC. I wasn' sure if the CRC would be able to penetrate the grease and I figured WD40 would no problem

WD-40 is not safe for electronics. Get the CRC...better safe than sorry.

@Taninauto You have been warned for posting links before. It is clearly listed in the Vendor rules and next time will result in action.
