Default changing my differential cover?

Ok guys so I am going to change my differential oil, since i am changing the cover and was wondering what type of oil would you guys use.

tried the search feature, but they are all threads for engine oil.

I know i need 75w-140 and no friction modifier(open differential =(

I use Valvoline HP 80W-90 in both the front and rear. I'm running TrueTracs, though. They are like an open diff.

They RP is a little more expensive, but it already has the LS Friction Modifier in it. Might want to read on that Lucas Oil to see if it already has that in there or not.

Sorry, I'm not the right person to ask lol. I really don't have a good understanding of the inner workings of differentials. I just know the basics of how they transfer power.

But someone with more knowledge will come along I'm sure!

That is absolutely correct. It won't hurt anything, on your open diff, though.
