Default Changing headlight bulbs

Hey guys, My name is Jarred Watson I am from Parkersburg,WV. I just recently purchased my 06 F-150 in October and have a headlight out. My overview of the project looks like it is gonna be a rip. Does anyone have pictures or detailed instruction on how to change this. I am hoping there is an easier way than taking the fender well out.

Thanks,

jwatson87

There are 2 bolts holding the headlight in. You have to pull back the rubber strip after opening the hood to get to one of them. The other is on top next to the fender. Once this is done all you do is twist the socket out and replace bulb. Took me 5 minutes to do both sides

Not sure where your looking but its alot easier than that....There are 2 or 3 screws that hold it in i think they are right on top of the light. Just take them out and gently tug till you get the lights out....I changed mine to my HID's in 20 minutes. Don't have any pics, sorry if i didn't help.

Y'all must have different set ups then me, because on my truck and in the service manual, there are three bolts. One on top, two behind the radiator side air deflector.

I just did this yesterday on my 2006. There are three bolts on each headlight assembly. One on top of the fender, and two behind the rubber air deflector / splash guard on the radiator side of each assembly. You're going to need either a 10mm (I think) socket or nut driver. Once the bolts are removed pull up on the plastic tab nearest the top bolt, and work the headlight assembly loose. It will require a little elbow grease, but they will eventually work free. With the headlight out, remove the bulb by turning counter clockwise. Remove the harness by pressing down on the plastic tab. Install new bulbs, and put everything back together.

It's really simple. Hope that helps.
