i like the air rachet because theres a big chance your gonna break the plugs anyways. which side manifold is leaking?

Congrats James.

I've heard some recommendations for using a 3/8s drive cordless impact, as well. After doing it, I have the feeling they're either gonna break or not, so may as well get to the next step quickly. I may be singing a different tune if some of mine had broken, though.

idk i just hear it when its cold. when it warms it goes away. so it wont be long before the gasket lets go all the way. im not going to mess with it until i get some headers
i also have noticed recently what sounds like piston slap at 1800-1900 rpms in neutral. i guess it could be phasers but i dont care. im not tearing into it, ill just buy a long block off ebay if i need to

things are good tho, it used to rattle like crazy all the time especially at start up. not any more tho

thanx gator! you never know an impact could cause the carbon to let loose from the hammering. might work better.

Hey James, you want to give me a hand sometime with changing mine? I got a 2004 as well and I have been debating whether to do this for sometime now or just take it to the dealership and let them rob me. My truck only has 51K on it so it shouldn't be bad right!? I'm only about a 1 1/2 hr north of Denison.

I'll have to do that when I get back to OK, I'm up in Iowa for Christmas until Monday. What exactly do you do when using seafoam, I've never used this product?
