CB install *PICS
I'm not sure, i took mine and had it wired up because at that time, i really didn't know much about wiring, i was only 16, but i've looked at it since and from what i can tell its wired into the steering column somehow. But that makes sense because you have to turn the key to accessory to make the wheel unlock, same with the CB, it won't turn on unless you turn the key forward to accessory or ofcourse crank. Turning the key back to turn the stereo on and work windows won't turn on the CB or unlock the wheel

first unhook your antenna from the back of the cb and turn on your radio to see if the whine went away. DO NOT key up and it wont hurt the cb. if it went away the antenna and or coax is your problem.
if the whine is still there then try running a clean positive and negative from the battery.
