Default Cat Rattle

Okay so i have a 2005 f150 and im geting an awful annoying rattle from my exhaust. It only happens when im in gear for some reason so red lights and stop signs u hear it most. The muffler has been changed on my truck and tail pipe to side exit. But before the muffler hasnt been touch. Ive had a few friends sit in my truck while i looked sounds like its comming from the exhaust like close to the cat sounds like a rock or metal inside. Checked all the sheilds there fine. Anyone else have this prob or anyone know of how to fix it?

Check the heat shielding around the cats, check for debris & see if they are loose. If that's not it, there might be something broken in one of them. If the internals are damaged you will probably start seeing a reduction in power as it clogs up, if you aren't already.

Check all the heat shielding, but if you bang on the cats with you fist or a rubber mallet, you may hear the internals of the cats sound loose. If so, time for new cats. Good luck.

Have you tried letting it idle and looking underneath to see where it's coming from?
