It's easy. You really shouldn't need a write up. Find pipe in the same diameter as the end of the intake tube, cut the pipe to length, and couple the pipe to the intake tube with a rubber connector. If you want it to run into the fender you'll have to taper the end of the pipe down as it is too wide to fit in that hole.

Easiest method = Spectre flexible duct - comes with two rubber connectors - perfect fit - no cutting, sanding, clamps or plastic pipe required. Done in 5 minutes.

3 inch ABS DWV available at your local Lowes, cut it to length think was about 9 inches if I remember rite, belt sanded the end to fit in the fender well (kinda egg shaped) and use existing flex tube with a new clamp to hold tube in place. Cost was under $20, and I had to order mine from Lowes as I do not have one close to me.

Believe it or not I took the tube completely off that is between the intake snorkel and the fender. I have a 07 5.4 and removing this piece helped a lot it is like having a cold air intake, since the air filter is inside of the case on top of the engine. Cheapest because it is free and it works nice.

That is correct it is simple and easy it made a difference and it gets plenty of air to it. If you look on line the air aid jr is pretty much the same thing just not free.

Thanks man and yea me personally dont like that without going to the fender because of the engine heat. But glad to know that does work. And also where you at in your picture of your truck?

The heat is not to bad if you look there is a fresh air path that runs next to the Helena's light and i am thinking of adding a tube that goes closer to the front. And are you talking about the snow pic?
