Can my F150 pull this trailer?
I just found a used camping trailer that I really like. It's a Jayco and it weighs 7500 lbs. empty. My F150 has a 4.6L engine in it, do I need a truck with a bigger engine to pull this camper?
Im looking at the 2007 sales brochure.
And it states,,, 4.6L Max towing 6300~6700 with 3.55 axle and 6500~7100 with 3.73 axle..
So, NO and you will always be filling the trailer full of stuff if you a taking a women with you.... And a lot of beer if not..

Yeah I was looking at a towing guide too. If he had the config that allows for 7100 then maybe. But yeah, short answer is no. I wouldn't anyway. I've pulled about ~500 over my max (6100) and it was mediocre.
Add at least 1000 pounds of gear and supply's to that weight to be more realistic. Even without knowing the configuration for your truck I would say its safe to say that will be a but much for your 4.6 to handle well.

Amen to that!! Those things are sweet for pulling heavy stuff. I have ridden in a few of them that were pulling heavy equipment and one that was pulling horses. You couldn't even tell a trailer was back there and the going up hills was crazy. I damn near ended up with one of those instead of my 150, but heck, I dont' pull that kind of stuff so why?......lol. Not to mention the way diesel fuel has gone up in this area.
