The biggest problem i have with blowers is the elevation has a huge affect On them. On my chevy i was haveing to run the smallest drive pulley they made for the blower and a custom drive pulley for the crank To be able to have 8 to 9 psi but when i installed my cam i lost 4 psi of Boost so I quess the blower would have moved enough air to put the engine at 13psi with the stock cam. I have rode in a couple of cars running twin GT28 turbos and they did not have much lag at all But it was a custom setup I think if i were going to buy a kit i would do a blower. but Like i said the next build i do will have turbos

You cannot add a 300 shot of nitrous to one of these motors or even a 200 or 250 would blow it sky high. Not to mention you won't have the power all the time and at all throttle positions. And dry kits are dangerous as hell. Great way to blow off an intake. Not bashing it. Just saying you can't tow with it or enjoy the additional power everyday like you can with forced induction. I like nitrous but not on a truck.

As for drag on the motor all the time...blowers have come a long way. The Whipple and Saleen create a 1 HP draw when not boosting. The Roush and Edlebrock blowers are just a little higher along with the centrifugal blowers. I hardly call that putting load on the motor.

Its all in the tuning. I am refering to a 75-125 dry shot and it can be done safely when not using it all the time. I come from mustangs and drag racing when i say this. I had not thought about the idea of towing. S/C definately for this. Just like S/C, nitrous systems have came a long way since it first started getting more popular. Solenoids rarely get stuck anymore and dry shots are less likely to blow off as long as you know how to stay off the rev limiter. If you are looking for power all the time then I agree completely but if you are in it all the time as a daily driver you are gonna have catastrophic failure eventually unless the engine is built as with any application.

These threads always end up being an argument over someone thinking they know it all.

and here I thought we were discussing the pros and cons and opinions. If I had known we were arguing I would have done some name calling lol. Either way it beats the hell out of the 50 thousand other threads about lifts and programmers.

X1000

Or the "Hey look I got a pro-comp 6" lift with 22" black rockstars on 35" Nitto Terra Grapplers!"

No offense to those that have this set up! I just notice it occurs quite a bit

No nothing like that. It is water to air intercooled. I added an additional heat exchanger cause I wanted to and had the additional unit laying around.
