Default A/C issue

Tried search function without luck, anyone have any idea why my a/c will not blow forcefully out of the vents? It blows cold but takes forever to cool the cab. It appears that even though I have it on max air, air is still coming out the defrost vents. It's a 2004 fx4 super crew 5.4L. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Ron

Mine takes forever to cool the cab down. When it was new it never had this problem. Mine comes out all the vents too but it's a very small amount.

When it was new, it would darn near dry your eyes out because it blew so hard! Now it's very weak and in Texas heat that 10 minutes until cool is painful. Any thoughts to why they are not blowing as forcefully?

Could be low on charge, go to your local dealer an have them check the pressures it could be low on charge and not be as cool

What does the AC being low on charge mean? I had a buddy who specializes in AC repair look at mine about 6 months ago and he said everything looked fine, pressure was good, had the right amount of freon in but I remained skeptical about that and thought he was just being lazy. He put a thermometer to the vent and it said 68 degrees and he kept saying it felt cold to him but to me it feels hot as hell

Haha sorry I work at a dealer, charge is how much refrigerant is actually in the system, have them hook the machine up and it tells you your high and low pressures, you can evacuate the system and it will tell you how much refrigerant was in there, then charge it with the right amount and should be all set, there's a machine that does all of this, at least at my work we have one
