busted engine
I have just received horrific news due to my own negligence. Shop just told me I need to replace the engine but they can not find a suitable replacement. My question is, which year of engine can go into my truck. I am hoping for a Christmas miracle but I'm a big boy, I can handle disapointment. I appreciate the input ahead of time. Oh, that's right 2006 F150 5.4 Vin code 5. I'm in the Houston area.
Hold the phone. Why did they say that? What's the problem? A lot of folks with our gen of truck get told they need a new engine when they really just need the timing equipment replaced.

I will be putting one of these in my truck when mine goes. Give them a call and talk to them.

I was attempting to replace my spark plugs. I had trouble with one plug that would not come out. I actually broke the ring for the socket on the plug. I figured that the plug would stay inside the head but I was wrong. The plug shot out and broke the coil pack only. Then I tried to remove it myself. Wound up taking to a mechanic to extract the broke plug. He eventually took the head off and found scratches on the wall and a hole in the piston. That what happen.

The heads are going to be scrapped as well. Trust me I would love to have it rebuilt with a little kick in it. It's the cost that has me over a barrel. I'm pretty sure some of you out there understand that point. Also, get it back quicker as well.
