I have an 06 xl and it dosent have foglights and i would like to change out the bumper to one with foglights (round or rectangular) i was curious if anyone has done something similar. I can wire them in thats no problem i work for an electrical company so i know how. i was wondering if i could just hook them up on an existing connector for them (does the connector exsist if you dont have foglights??) or if i would have to add all the wiring.

You should call the dealership to get an accurate wiring diagram to make sure. I know on my Talon that I had (granted not a Ford, but...) it had the connectors behind the bumper and the wires behind the blank in the dash for the switch but they came to an end somewhere inside the dash wiring harness and started again in the engine harness. I had to just tap into the wires that I could see and run new ones to the junction block in the relay box and make the connections that were non existant in there as well.

EDIT- check to see if you have the fuse and relay for them, or if you even have the wiring for them but nothing plugged in. That should let you know if you will need to do any wiring.

I have an xl with the bumper without foglights. i recently got my front bumper painted as well as a new bumper cover that was also painted. Can i cut holes in my bumper and put oem foglights in the holes i cut? I know i would have to have the plastic surround that goes around the foglights as well but does anyone know of a kit or should i just look for a junk bumper with fogs already in it?

 

i bought my front bumper with oval fogs and wiring harness together at a recycler.told them what i was swapping and they figured out what i needed and pulled it all as a package.I also got a rear bumper with back up sensors and wiring with the dash switch and bezel(wood grain to match mine) all together it was $400+tax for both bumpers off an 07 Lariat.

 

I just got an 08 chrome bumper with fogs for 190 off of ebay. They are out there, just gotta be patient and wait for the right deal. 06-08 bumpers are much more expensive, but you could get the 04-05 bumper for much cheaper. I bought a fog light kit from a retailer that said the brackets are made for 08 f150's. we will see. Im probably gonna go to ford and buy the factory fogs and brackets for that clean factory look. Anyone want an 08 chrome bumper without fog holes...

I looked i do have the wiring harness and fuses n such now i am searching for a bumper, foglight brackets and foglights. thank you for the help.
