I use the GT Gas Tuner. I really like it. It's a pretty simple install, plug in to your OBDII port and thn run the power wire to the fuse box on an accessory fuse. I run the premium setting which requires 89+ octane (premium fuel), I have firm shifting, and no top speed limiter, as well as my ECU tuned for my 33" tires.
The cons would probably be the inability to have custom tunes or plug in modifications for CAI etc... or none that I know of anyway.
If you have any specfific questions, feel free to ask.

Thumbs up

I bought the Bully Dog Power Pup that is just a downloader then unplug from diagnostic port. It was easy to use and I could really tell a difference on the "regular" tune setting. It has the option of "premium" tune, but I don't want to pay for 91 plus octane. It allows for shift firmness, tire size change etc. I got a heck of a deal from an e-bay auction. A guy had 10 brand new ones for a rediculously low price. I love mine. The only problem I had with mine is the tire size recalibration of the speedometer was not exact. I had to experiment to get the real speed on GPS compared to speedo. I installed 33's but had to input 31's to get speed to correct.

I'm having the same problem, but that worked to get it calibrated?

not at the same time though, you can only have the codes uploaded to one vehicle at a time, and in order to upload codes to another vehicle you must first remove all codes from the original vehicle. But it is good if you plan on switching vehicles in the near future.

I have a Bully Dog GT too. It was an easy install, program time is a lot longer than the edge. It has please of options depending on what you want to monitor. Plently of colors to match any scheme you have going. I think the driving coach is overrated. Very touchy, you have to drive like a turtle to make it happy. You will defently turn off the volume.

All in all its a good tuner.

Oh, I forgot to mention. One of the reasons I went with the downloader instead of the in-cab mounted unit like the edge or the other bully dog is; I figured if I needed warranty service from Ford, I can pull the tune out of the computer and put it back to stock and the service dept. can't whine about the truck having a tune and then not cover a repair under warranty. With the dash mounted units it's obvious the truck has a tune and they could make a big deal about it. My buddy has the edge on his 250 power stroke and loves it. I realize it's apples and oranges, but the edge is a quality product and he has never had any issues with his. I can't figure out why engineers "detune" these trucks. If the power is there with a little computer tweak, they should let it loose.
As for my issues with the tire size calibration. I'm not sure why it won't work to input the real tire size, but I've heard several guys have the same problem of the speedo being off. I just kept checking the speedo against my GPS and kept lowering the input size on tires until I got it exact. I don't know if it has to do with tires not being EXACTLY the measurements they are supposed to be, or a combination of factors. All I know is entering 31" in tires on my truck made it happy.

All programmers can return to stock and be pulled. The Edge and others do not have to stay plugged in even when it is programmed, it only stays there as a monitor.

Yeah, I knew the others will return to stock, I just didn't want the hassle. The dealership I have to work with looks for any reason not to cover something. Even if you pulled the tune, and left the unit for a "monitor" these knuckle heads would figure out a way to say "nope, not under warranty". I would rather have the monitoring capability and easier modification of tune with the dash mounted units, but decided on the other route with a downlodader.
