Default bought 07 needs work help

i bought a 2007 screw 4x4 with 188,000 miles drives great very clean for $9000

But it does have the dreaded cam phaser noise . so here are my plans

1. Dorman cam phasers
2.Cloyes timing chain
3.Ford vct solenoids
4. Bosch water pump
5.chamion plugs 7989
6.fel pro gaskets

any other things i should consider while i have the truck tore down. what about engine sludge should i run a can of seafoam in the crankcase for a 100 miles or so to clean it.

should i when tore down clean the oil return passages if so any tips.

the truck runs nice when cold but when it gets warm at idle it sounds like it is going to come come apart.

Are you going to do the work yourself? If so, please post up some pics, those are always fun. Good luck.

ok so i put a half of can of seafoam in the crankcase and drove about 150 miles.

next was tear down time i have the engine dissasembled and im suprised to find drivers bank valve train very clean and passenger side pretty sludged up . the drivers side is clearly getting more oil .

is there a way to clean the oil passages so i know im getting oil to the passenger bank.

I did get lucky and all the plugs came right out they were champions.

i wonder if i crank the starter with it tore down will it pump oil up top so i can confirm oil flow.
