Default Best chip??

What's up, I have a 2006 2wd 5.4L and I have already installed a auto chips direct chip to try and get more power when I want it and mpg when I want that.
It mainly just helped with gas milage. So a couple people have told me about edge chips and super chips just wanted to know which one is better and is there a even better chip out?
Thanks for your help

These are chips..

They dont do anything for your truck. A programmer however does..

Do a search for programmer or tuner here and you will find many hours of reading on the subject.

Here, this should get you started. Click----> https://www.f150forum.com/f7/tuner-programmers-9161/

BTW, I have the Edge evolution myself and have been pleased with it. Its probably the most popular of the tuners.

Does edge and super chips give to off the line acceleration? And can you bypass your governor with them?

Just average canned tuned devices. Custom tunable programmers are recommended for good reason.

Nobody ever mentions that superchips has custom tunes for Cai's which are noticeably better than the tunes its packaged with.
If I can make adjustments for a Cai, dual exhaust, tire size, shift firmness and points, and octane, with a superchips tuner, how much of a difference is a custom tune from edge, going to make in performance that's gonna make say wow this tune is so much better.. that justifies a $200 price difference and a 3 month wait? I'm not dumping on it just would like to know.
Now don't come at me with the canned tunes comparisons, I'm talking about the Cai tunes.

^ The OP never mentioned having a CAI so it's not even in this discussion. But since you brought it up, how does a Superchips make corrections for dual exhaust? Dual exhaust beyond the cats do not need adjustments. Cat forward modifications like high flow cats do need custom tuning because there is no way a canned device knows exactly how the flow past the front O2s has been changed. Turning off the rear O2s is not adjusting for it.
You'd also be surprised how much compromise there is even in a canned tune. The tune still has to work for 100% of people all over the world. The a/f trims and tables are still laid back enough to work for all. There's also a lot more in the transmission than just adjusting the firmness, it's how you go about the shifting in regards to line pressure that really matters. Increased line pressure is something that some custom devices can avoid better than the canned tunes.
Edge doesn't make custom tunes, only PHP has the rights to truly custom tune the Edge device. FWIW I got a used Gryphon for $250 and two custom tunes for the unit for what a canned device would cost. Plus it only took a month for my custom tunes.
