I went with the DIY raptor U-pol bedliner around $100 and seem to be holding up pretty good I have only scratched it once whe I slid a 600lb metal pallet onto it

I went the cheap route and just got a Dee-Zee heavyweight bed mat for the floor of the bed. Might do a full liner later on but the mat is good enough for what I need currently. 3/8" heavy rubber and removable which means it'll have to be cleaned underneath every now and then but it beats the plastic PoS liner I had.

rubber mat would not work for me since i would be cleaning under it every week since i carry gas/ oil/ 4wheeler/ car parts in the bed often. plus they dont protect the wheelwells or tailgate

I hear ya, my wheel wells are already jacked up from the previous owner. Until I have to money to do my custom bed I'm not gonna worry about those, just trying to keep stuff from sliding all around which is what I need currently.

x2. Prep is the name of the game. Your labor is cheap, and if your willing to work, it lasts. I've had the herculiner on my truck bed for 7 months now; no peeling or chipping.

By the way, this subject was discussed a couple of months ago. Search on "bed liner" and read away.
