Default Bad idea?

How bad would it be to go from 35s to 37s for a month or two until I regear?

Axel code on door jam sticker is H9 if that makes any difference.

Obviously I plan on regearing but can't afford to do everything at once.

Yes, it's a horrible idea?

No, I'll be just fine?

You'll be fine. I'm on 37's right now with 373 gears and it's been a couple months. Just a loss of power and fuel economy.

Ok, thanks. I should be able to save enough within a month or two since I just have to pay for parts and we are doing the install ourselves.

You will be fine if you don't do a lot of heavy towing. Even if u did that it would just eat up your fuel but you would get the job done. Just make sure your transmission and differential fluids are to be cautious. I would definitely slap in some 4:56 gears when you can though. Around town will be good with those gears but the interstate it will be higher then normal RPMs because the gearing size difference.

I'm actually thinking of going with 4.88s since at some point I'll be throwing my level kit ontop of my lift and going with some bigger tires.

Yeah you would have a lot regained power if you did that. If you can go for that I'd say. Especially if you tow a lot

Most of the stuff I tow is pretty light but every once in a while I get stuck with a heavy load.

Yeah you will be good then. Just make sure you got good fluid in there and there's no worries
