throwing any codes?

Do you have stock exhaust?

Is the sound coming out the pipes or is it coming from under the hood?

Do it do it when you just rev it up in park?

Codes? Not sure what you mean. I am a kid so.. But no it's under the hood. And I don't have stock exhaust. But it sounds like a .22 goin off under the hood everytime I put it in passing gear.

since you have an aftermarket exhaust on the truck, depending on the combination of pipes and mufflers you have installed it can cause a "cackle" sound or a "Pop" sound. Id suggest you put a video of it up on youtube and link it here. or just go on youtube and listen to other people exhausts and see if you hear a similar noise.

Well I'm thinking it could just be a lean pop. Since it's been so cold lately here in Oklahoma. Cause I've had these mods for about 6 months and it never happened in the summer.

Does it have the cats installed (catalitic converters)? Does it have mufflers?

Under the hood sounds could be lean conditions, and that's not good. Lean mixture can be detonation, and that burns holes in the pistons.

Get it checked by a qualified tech with a diagnostic machine.

Yep has cats and mufflers. I'm just gonna get my computer reflashed and see if it works. Driving around town it doesn't happen. Only when I hit passing gear.

I have a 1994 F150 with the 302 with a after market cam, and sometimes it will bog down and start backfiring from under the hood.... Any ideas of what could cause this???
