almost all headunits now have a aux input or a usb input for your ipod...so around 100 bucks for one of those and another 30 for dash install kit and wiring harness....as far as a sub it depends on your budget, you can build your own box or go prefab...if i could suggest something i would say a dc audio level 2 8 or 10" under the rear set with a 3-400 watt amp

Check classifieds here and at f150online, members are often selling their subwoofer setups for decent prices so you could save there. If you can build a box, a great budget option is the Dayton HO 10" driver from partsexpress. A very high quality driver with very low distortion and quality parts that models super well in small enclosures. Build the box to .7cu ft tuned to 30Hz and it will smoke just about any other single 10" driver under the seat in that amount of space with outstanding SQ as well.

The receiver gives you "storage" space for the ipod and has a good ipod control.
I have the 10in version of the sub I linked...it doesnt take up much room and works with a smaller amount of airspace. I used a Kicker 10in standard woofer and it ended up bumping at a single consistent frequency. I went to a flat woofer and it solved my frequency problems.

you dont have to buy a head unit to have your ipod go through ur speaks there are transmitters, which I cant think of the name, and they are cheaper and sound pretty good.

sorry...I don't know how to link a site on this Mac! Check this affordable combo out. I know it doesn't seem possible, but the forum review looks pretty good. Where can you get a custom box, sub, & amp for this price...nowhere!!!
